Terms of service

Last updated: 17 June 2026

1. Service

HaccpShield provides a digital HACCP monitoring and reporting service (SaaS) for the hospitality and food sector. The service is available via the web app and the native iOS and Android apps.

2. Subscription and billing

Subscriptions are taken out and paid via Stripe and run monthly or annually, renewing automatically until cancelled. Prices are excl. VAT. Invoices are always available in the app under Settings → Invoices. Payment and subscription details can be managed via the Stripe Customer Portal, accessible at Settings → Manage subscription.

3. Use

You are responsible for the accuracy of records entered and for compliance with statutory HACCP obligations. HaccpShield is a tool and provides no guarantee of compliance or approval by regulators (such as the NVWA).

4. Availability

We target 99.5% annual availability, excluding planned maintenance. We are not liable for temporary unavailability due to force majeure or outages at suppliers (hosting, payment processor).

5. Right of withdrawal

HaccpShield is offered exclusively to business customers (B2B). The statutory consumer right of withdrawal does not apply.

6. Liability

Our liability is limited to the subscription fees paid in the 12 months prior to the damage. Indirect damages (including lost profit, reputational damage or regulatory fines) are excluded.

7. Cancellation and account deletion

You can cancel your subscription at any time via Settings → Manage subscription (Stripe Customer Portal). On cancellation the service remains available until the end of the current billing period. You can permanently delete your account via Settings → Delete account; already invoiced periods are not refunded.

8. Mobile apps

Use of the iOS and Android apps is additionally subject to the Apple App Store and Google Play terms. Payments in the mobile apps also run through Stripe and not via in-app purchases.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes are submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam.
